We are blessed to have a wonderful instructional program here for Kindergarteners and Pre-K. Due to our advanced program, please note that age cut-offs may be different from public or other private schools.
Admissions Rules For Pre-K
- The applying child must be 4 years old by June 1st of the coming year.
- Exceptions clause for children of returning Aletheia families: If the child’s birthday is in the month of June, he/she will be placed on a holding list until the last week in May. The child will be evaluated by the teacher and if the child shows readiness, then he/she will be admitted on a trial basis of 6-weeks, if the Pre-K class is not already filled. At the end of the first sex weeks period, a decision will be made concerning the possibility of that child continuing at Aletheia’s Pre-K program.

Reading and Language Objectives:
The reading and language courses give a solid foundation in mastering all the letter sounds and names, introduces blending consonants with the short vowels, and the decoding of simple short vowel words and specific sight words. Next, specific letter clusters and long vowels are introduced. This program uses a multi-sensory approach to reading and incorporates music, games, charts, and video to make learning fun! The SSRW readers provide opportunities for a child to build vocabulary and practice oral reading skills. Each reader stresses specific phonics rules that are used at the same time the rule is taught and practiced. A worktext also accompanies the program, gives necessary written practice, and helps match the students’ individual learning style to the instruction.
It is our desire to develop eager readers, using a strong phonics-based program integrated with many hands-on activities and games. We want the chidlren to have fun with reading and develop a love for literature. The forms of literature we use are The Bible, fables, poems, and stories emphasizing specific character qualities in Bible history and American history. Reading content is carefully selected to encourage growth in Christ by strengthening the child in Biblical principles and Christ-like character.
